This work takes traditional Eastern "flower-and-bird" motifs as its theme, infusing classical yijing (artistic conception) with a distinct contemporary graphic language. The foliage unfolds through fluid yet restrained lines, while the two birds establish a subtle interaction—one in motion and one at rest, one diving and one perched—forming an understated yet rhythmic narrative.
The artist employs a contrast of high-saturation reds and cool cyans set against a warm, luminous gold background, creating a clearly defined visual tension. The opulence of the blossoms and fruit harmonizes with the weightlessness of the birds, ensuring the piece is both highly decorative and deeply imbued with the poetic sensibility and "meaningful void" (liubai) characteristic of Eastern painting.
At the intersection of tradition and modernity, this work goes beyond the depiction of natural scenery to signify a harmonious and orderly state of being—finding movement within stillness and simplicity within abundance.
